Our Whale Mugs 2025

"I use my whale mug every single day, and every day it brings me back to the day i saw my first Orca. Adrenalin, wonder, respect. For a mug it certainly comes with an emotional punch" Saskatewan customer 2023

Did you see a whale this year—or know someone who did?

This is Alex and I - a few years ago - paddling in front of our house with a grey whale who took us on as companions. We called him Gilbert. He’d join us on paddles now and then — as the picture shows (I’m behind the camera) — or sleep at night nearby, his snores rumbling so loudly they’d wake us both.

On those nights, we’d head outside and fall asleep under the stars, listening to Gilbert dream.

We haven’t seen him in a few years, but lately there have been more humpbacks — farther out, but more than we’ve seen in decades. So now, each time we spot a whale, we celebrate with a new mug — a small tribute to Gilbert and the wonder he left behind.

Here’s to the whales who remind us to slow down, drift wide, and listen deeply.

"Celebrate the return of the whales to the Salish Sea with a handcrafted mug made by Alex, who sees whales almost daily from her studio in Roberts Creek and feels their song echo through the inky night."

Majestic, mysterious, and made for coffee, our Whale Mugs bring the calm and depth of the ocean to your morning routine. Each one is wheel-thrown and features bold black-and-white whale illustrations paired with flowing, sea-glass-inspired glazes that echo the movement of water.

From humpbacks to orcas, these gentle giants wrap around each mug with quiet strength. Whether you're an ocean lover, coastal wanderer, or simply drawn to beautiful design—there’s a whale waiting for you here.

Available in a rotating mix of colours and glazes, no two mugs are ever quite the same.
Check back often, or give us a call to see what’s fresh from the kiln.

Sip slow. Drift far.
